- The Kiwanis Club's 33rd annual pancake breakfast will be held today and Feb. 13 at First Congregational Church on Front Street.

- U.S. Representative Clarence Miller, R-Lancaster, was at Marietta's Dravo Pipe Fabrication Inc., which has a stake in a $20 million overseas contract. Dravo is hopeful to land a contract for four units of Taiwan Power Co.'s Taichung Power Plant.

100 years ago

- Thieves entered Albert Loftey's pool room on Tiber Way and stole $65 from the cash drawer.

- William Miller's face was burned with hot metal this morning at the Pattin Bros. shop on Third Street.
