100 years ago
- Governor Cox will be in attendance during the annual banquet of the Marietta Board of Trade on Feb. 21. Gov. Cox will make the principle address of the evening.
- C.L. Dye asserts that it was incorrectly reported that he solicited the sale of liquor in dry territory. Dye says that his name appears on advertising matter sent out by a local saloon, but he in no way endorses it.
