Ballroom dance club hosts dance Sat.
The River Cities Ballroom Dance Club will host a dance from 8 to 11:30 p.m. Saturday at the Marietta Country Club. Music will be by the Warren Brothers Combo, with appetizers and desserts provided, plus a cash bar. Dress is formal - men in tuxedos or suits and women in cocktail or long dresses. Committee meetings set in Beverly
The village of Beverly committee meetings for March will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The regular council meeting will be held at 7 p.m. March 13, and the board of public affairs meeting will be held at 5 p.m. March 20. All meetings will be held in the village office at 919 Mitchell Ave.
Relay For Life team captains to meet
The Washington County Relay For Life team captain's meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Strecker Cancer Center conference room.

M&M musical night at The Castle
Michael Tobar's Jazz Trio will present "A Melting Pot of Jazz Series," a night of M&Ms, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday at The Castle, 418 Fourth St.
This concert will feature music of jazz composers and musicians whose names start with the letter "M." During this concert, pieces by artists such as Henry Mancini, Johnny Mercer, Johnny Mandel and Thelonious Monk will be heard. Reservations are available by calling 373-4180. Individual tickets for one concert are $12.50.
$2 bag sale at food pantry in Vincent
The thrift store of the Western Washington County Food Pantry in Vincent is having a $2 a bag sale through March 7. Summer clothes will be ready March 25. Hours are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, and 1 to 4 and 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday. The thrift store is at 18 High St. in Vincent. Food orders are as usual.
