Interstate Exchange 4-H club hosts group from Montana

March 5, 2013
The Marietta Times

The newly formed Washington County Interstate Exchange 4-H club hosted a group of 4-H'ers from Roosevelt County, Montana, in July 2012. Although they visited after the storm, July 5 through July 9, with record high temperatures, it was successful. The highlights of the exchange were sharing Camp Hervida; riding the Valley Gem; touring Hartline Dairy Farm; touring St. Marys Catholic Church (to escape the heat); shopping downtown Marietta; carriage rides; taking the ghost tour of Marietta; zip lining; and a day of fun at the Boy Scout Camp in Waterford which included swimming, canoing, kayaking, volleyball, and of course eating. In their spare time, the host families shared their home lifestyles and their 4-H experiences.
