Tickets for the Marietta Bicentennial Ball are available for $25 per person. The ball will be held April 9 at 9 p.m. at Marietta College's Ban Johnson Field House.
Marietta Mayor Nancy Hollister is planning on an in-depth look at the city's brick streets. While they are unique and historic, the care and repair of brick streets can cost up to 10 times that of maintaining asphalt streets. A decision will be made to either continue repairing them, or finding a cost efficient way to pave the ones in the worst condition.

Nearly 200 people attended the supper at First Baptist Church. The annual meeting was held afterward, where church finances were found to be in excellent shape.
Harry Yost brought suit against Lillian Ludington for a watch he gave her. After several questions were asked at the hearing, it was determined that Yost, 20, wasn't old enough to bring suit against anyone, and therefore didn't get his watch back from his former love.
