Members of the Marietta police force are expected to get a $10 increase in salary. Lieutenants will get an increase of $15, and the chief an increase of $5.
A petition was signed by 16 property owners asking the city council to narrow Fourth Street near Putnam Place to 40 feet. The matter is now open for public discussion.
