Next month, state troopers at the Washington County post will start carrying card imprinters so that motorists can immediately pay for traffic fines on their credit cards, and pay the bill later.
The Marietta Arts and Crafts Festival, sponsored by the Marietta Arts and Crafts League and Washington County Career Center, will feature student artwork and crafts exhibits. The festival will be held at the Career Center.

A manhunt was formed in Beverly to find Harry Yeunet, who was charged making a criminal attack on 6-year-old Agnes Linscott. Yeunet was found in Marietta in his cousin's home.
The Board of Trade committee in charge of the deep-well proposition has decided the best place to drill a test well is in the vicinity of the city.
