Edward M. Scileppi, M.D., died early Saturday morning the 9th of March after a prolonged illness. He was born in 1935 in Flushing New York and was the son of Dr. Myron and Genevieve Curran Scileppi. Edward was a proud graduate of Chaminade High School, received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University, and his medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical School in Brooklyn. He completed an OBGYN residency at King's County and Bellevue Hospitals where he was the chief resident. Dr. Scileppi served as a major in the U.S. Army Medical Corps and was stationed in Nuremberg Germany for three years. After his service in the Army, he began his career as a private practitioner in Springfield Vermont.
