Wilma Kathyleen Lane, 87, of Marietta, passed away on Thursday (March 14, 2013) at Selby General Hospital.
She was born on Sunday, March 22, 1925, in Noble County, to the late Homer Ivan and Hazel Marie (Hesson) Dutton. On Sept. 20, 1947, Wilma was married to the late Paul Lane in Marietta. Wilma was a graduate of Macksburg High School and was also a member of the Hills United Methodist Church for over 50 years and taught Sunday School for many of those years. She was also the church treasurer for 20 years and was a member of the United Methodist Women. Wilma enjoyed quilting, sewing, puzzles, reading, cooking and most of all, spending time with her family.
She is survived by one son, Bill Lane; one daughter, Anna Lane Smith (Kent); two grandchildren, Ryan Smith, Alane Sanders (Adam); one great-grandson, Owen Sanders; and a sister, Peggy Wegmiller.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, James, Clyde and Walter Dutton.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday (March 16, 2013) at Hadley Funeral Home Reno Chapel, 1021 Pike St., with Garry Hogue officiating. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
