Elinor R. Bauerbach Johnson, 80, of Beverly, died Monday (March 18, 2013) at Marietta Memorial Hospital in Marietta. She was born Aug. 5, 1932, in Coal Run, Ohio, daughter of Howard W. and Katherine P. Simon Hughes.
She graduated from Beverly High School in 1950. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church. She was married Aug. 16, 1952, to Carl F. Bauerbach who died Dec. 25, 1991.
She is survived by three sons: Kevin Bauerbach of Marietta, Steven Bauerbach of Florida and Brian Bauerbach and his wife, Nancy, of Elburn, Ill.; three daughters, Carol Parcell and husband, Robert, of Beverly, Diana Litman and her husband, George, of Marietta and Mary Ash of Marietta; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and her brother, David Hughes of Coal Run. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a sister, Frances Limbacher.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday (March 21) at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Beverly, with Monsignor Robert Kawa officiating. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly. A Christian Wake service will be held at 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
