The Marietta High Boosters Club raised $5,556.50 for sports at its second annual sports auction.
Members of the Historic Harmar Village Bridge Co. turned the Harmar Bridge using turn-of-the-century tools. The bridge was turned to a 90-degree angle so that a crew could dredge the east bank of the Muskingum River. It took 45 minutes to turn the bridge, which was last turned in the late 1960s.

The precincts of Marietta and Marietta Township were adjusted to include the cities of Norwood and Fairview Heights.
331 memberships were turned in during the YMCA's Baseball Membership Campaign.
