Orville Ted Wright, 90, of Waterford, died Friday (April 12, 2013) at Heartland of Marietta.
He was born April 9, 1923, in Washington County, son of Lloyd B. and Virgie Matthew Wright. He was an electrician for BF Goodrich in Marietta and retired from Globe Metallurgical as an electrician. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Post #389 in Beverly, Mount Moriah Masonic Lodge #37 F&AM, Marietta Shrine Club and the 40&8 Voiture #1523.
He was married July 31, 1992, to Lillian M. "Pat" Hollett Turner Wright who survives. He is also survived by a stepson, Tom Turner of Waterford; two stepdaughters, Pamela Price and husband Danny of Waterford and Teresa Miller and husband Mitch of Waterford; six stepgrandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren; two brothers, Jack Wright and wife, Jenny, of Enon, Ohio, and William Wright and wife, Betty, of Rocky River, Ohio; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife; four brothers, Wilbur, Robert, Lloyd and Rodney Wright; two sisters, Helen Spung and Margaret Roberts.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday (April 16, 2013) at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with Pastor Karl Kesselring officiating. Burial will be in Beverly Cemetery with military services at the grave. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today. A masonic lodge service will be held at 8 p.m. today.
