Bruce A. Phipps, 56, of Marietta, passed away on Friday (April 12, 2013) at West Penn Burn Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
He was born on Oct. 20, 1956, in Portsmouth, Ohio, a son of the late Nathaniel Phipps and Margaret Compliment of Cleveland.
Bruce was a member of Loyal Order of Moose Riders of Marietta serving as a road captain I.B.E.W. of Louisville, Ky., and a proud employee of UTI of Groveport, Ohio.
On March 10, 1975, he married Karen Jordan, who survives with one daughter, Laura Jane (Craig) Douglas of Bremerton, Washington; two grandchildren, Jack T. Douglas and Aaron T. Douglas; two sisters, Marjorie Hall of Cleveland and Sue Nolan of Wheelersburg; and one brother, Max Phipps of McDermott, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (April 17) at 11 a.m. at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 until 8 p.m.
