Pietro John Carmel Muscari, of Mount Gilead, departed this life after a short illness at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, on April 6, 2013. He was 67 years old.
He was born on July 22, 1945, and was raised in both Marietta and Belpre. He was a graduate of Belpre High School Class of 1963. He attended Marietta College. In his early years, Pete was an accomplished violinist and brass musician and was very involved in many musical endeavors. He was a member and president of the Belpre High School marching band. In his latter years, he was a cross country heavy truck operator.
Pete was preceded in death by his father, Pietro John Carmel Muscari; and his maternal grandparents, Frank and Elsa Hock of Marietta. He is survived by his mother, Jane Hock White of The Plains, Ohio. Pete is also survived by his children, Jeffrey (Deanna) Muscari, Jason (Nicole) Muscari, Pietro J.C. Muscari III; daughters Susanne (Jeff) Ebersbach and Carmen Muscari and four grandchildren. His sisters surviving him are Jane (Joe) Kincheloe, Jo (Jeff) Carper, Judy (Ted) Reed, Pam (Fred) Ross, Jennifer Harper; and also a cousin, Roger Hock; and many nieces and nephews.
Per Pete's wishes, there was no formal visitation or funeral. The family held a private celebration of Pete's life and asks that any memorials be gifted to the Belpre High School Band, 2000 Rockland Ave., Belpre, Ohio, 45714.
