Wincore Windows and Doors has appointed Michael Scarberry to the position of chief operating officer, Clark Davis, Chairman of Wincore, recently announced. Scarberry will oversee all production at the plant on Staunton Turnpike in Parkersburg.
Scarberry comes to Wincore from a career in the aluminum industry where he spent over 30 years in numerous managerial positions in the Mid-Ohio Valley. Upon graduating from Marshall University in 1977, Scarberry went to work for Kaiser Aluminum near Ravenswood, W.Va.. Much of his time there he held the title of casting production manager. During the last two years of his tenure, Scarberry served as coil processing group manager. In 2007, he accepted a position with Aleris International. For the next three years, Scarberry headed operations for two Aleris plants along the Ohio River, just north of St. Marys, W.Va.
Scarberry joined Wincore Windows and Doors in February 2012. Since then, his focus has been on the safety of employees - spearheading efforts that have successfully reduced recordable injuries by over 75 percent. Coordinating efforts in manufacturing, sales and customer service has also resulted in a solid improvement in warranty costs. "Our customer service, our products, and our delivery performance are all items we take very seriously. Collectively, we want to earn the confidence of each customer we have and to be considered their preferred supplier," Scarberry said.
