Vincent and Alice Lang will be celebrating their 65th anniversary on Sunday, June 9. They were married on June 24, 1948, at St. John the Baptist Church in Churchtown by Msgr. Ambrose Schilling and Fr. Donaldson.
He is the son of the late Joseph E. and Mary Lang. She is the daughter of the late Raymond and Elizabeth Arnold.
They have made their home in Churchtown where they had a dairy farm and were truck farmers.
They have seven children: Dennis (Sharon) of Whipple, Peggy (Robert E. Byers) of Marietta, Vicky Boley (John Boley, Jr.) of Whipple, Al (Jeanne) of Marietta, Stan of Waterford, Tony (Gail) of Marietta, and Betsy of Waterford.
There are 18 grandchildren: Jason, Mark, Hannah, Aaron, Ben, Dwight, Garrett, Keith, Scott, Shannon Lang; Melissa Canavan; David, Elizabeth Byers; Matt, Brandon, Ryan Boley; Ashly Wells; and Vicki Nay.
There are 26 great-grandchildren: Jennessa, Jassandra, Jacob, Emma, Destiny, Andrew, Mollie, Braxten, Colsen, Isabelle, Hudson, Sydney, Gwendolyn Lang; Cayley Cox; Leighton Byers; Zane, Keegan, Connor, Kallie Rose Boley; Madison, Mason Wells; Carly, Devin, Olivia Canavan; McKenzie Wright; Mylee Ervin-Lang.
He worked at the Marietta Silo Company and is retired from Watertown Township. She worked at Reminigton Rand, Kardex, and is retired from the B. F. Goodrich Company.
The 9:30 a.m. Mass on Sunday, June 9 at St. John the Baptist Church in Churchtown will be said in honor of the Langs. The immediate family will celebrate with a party at the family farm after the Mass.
