Youth choir concert Saturday night
Sand Hill United Methodist Church in Reno will hold a youth choir concert at 7 p.m. Saturday. The choir consists of 22 members in seventh through 12th grade, who will be singing contemporary Christian songs as well as classic church music. An offering to benefit the Gospel Mission Food Pantry will be accepted.
Career center board meeting on June 25
The Washington County Career Center Board of Education has changed the date of its June monthly meeting to 6 p.m. June 25 in the Board Meeting Room in the annex building.
Food pantry benefit at Salem-Liberty
The Tri-County Food Pantry Fundraiser will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. June 29 at Salem-Liberty Elementary School.
The meal will include Cowboy Dan's chicken, homemade noodles, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, cole slaw, rolls and homemade desserts. The cost of the meal will be $7.50 for adults and $3.50 for children. Those attending can bring a lawn chair and enjoy music provided by Picken' on Country. There will also be a country store with drawings to begin at 7:30. A raffle will also be held with tickets being sold for $1 each or six for $5 for a chance to win a homemade quilt, $100 Kroger card, $50 Lowes card and two $25 Walmart cards.
Marietta garden tour 3-6 p.m. Sunday
The Marietta Garden Tour, presented by The First Unitarian Universalist Church of Marietta, will be held on Sunday. Gardens will be open from 3 to 6 p.m. with a churchyard plant sale and refreshments from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. at 232 Third St. Gardeners featured are Charlotte Hatfield, 426 Fifth St., Brad, Stephanie and Lyndsay Biehl, 325 Forshey Road, Kroger Wetlands, Acme Street behind Kroger and Sylvia Miles, 109 E. Fifth St. in Williamstown. Tickets are $7 and may be purchased at Twisted Sisters, Greenleaf Landscapes, Williamstown Pharmacy and Thomson's Landscaping or are $10 on the day of the tour at the church or at any of the gardens during the tour.
