The Marietta Harbor is finally opened for business and ready to accommodate boaters with gasoline and overnight docking. Boaters will be charged around $20 per night for docking, with larger boats costing more.
Marietta Memorial Hospital has made plans for a $7 million improvement project that will include a psychiatric unit, expanded operating rooms, a new laboratory and an intensive and cardiac care unit

George Wheeler Hinman, owner and editor of the Chicago Inter-Ocean, was elected president of Marietta College by the board of trustees at a meeting Tuesday, June 18.
The county commissioners authorized placing a refrigerator and a hundred foot coil under the fountain at the courthouse, making it possible to get cool, sanitary drinking water in the near future. The improvements will be made under the direction of Health Officer McGee.
