The Southeastern Ohio Port Authority executive committee will meet at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the Port Authority Office, 710 Colegate Drive, Marietta. The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Directors will be held at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday on the campus of Washington State Community College, in Room 105 of the Center for Business and Technology. A special public meeting to discuss purchase of the GSA US Army Reserve Center in Reno will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Marietta Township Recreation Center in Reno.

Commissioners to discuss jobs effort
The boards of county commissioners from Monroe, Morgan, Noble and Washington counties have scheduled a Workforce Investment Area #15 Council of Governments Meeting to be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Morgan County Department of Job and Family Services, 155 E. Main St. McConnelsville.
survey on River Trail
Volunteers are needed to assist with the second survey of use on Marietta's River Trail. Marietta Rowing and Cycling Club member Judy Lewis is organizing the two-week survey to determine how many bicyclists and pedestrians are using the 2.5-mile River Trail. Information collected will assist Marietta officials attempting to obtain state and federal grants for building River Trail Phase V from Jefferson Street (near Kmart) to the Walmart parking lot. Volunteers are spending 30 minutes at a time recording trail use. To volunteer, call Judy Lewis at 374-4193.

The Washington County Family & Children First Council meeting scheduled for today has been rescheduled for 1:30 p.m. June 26 at the Family & Children First office, 202 Davis Ave.
Free legal clinic 6-8 today in Marietta
The Washington County Bar Association and Southeastern Ohio Legal Services will offer a free legal clinic from 6 to 8 p.m. today at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 320 Second St., Marietta. Walk-ins are welcome. The clinic is for Washington County residents unable to afford legal representation (less than 187 percent of the poverty guideline).
