Helen Louise Eddy, 101, formerly of Williamstown, passed away Sunday (June 23, 2013) in Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
She was born Feb. 17, 1912, in Waverly, W.Va., one of 12 children of the late James Seymore and Clara Loretta Bradford Sinclair and lived in the Parkersburg area until the last few years.
Louise was a loving mother and homemaker. In her younger days she worked at Fenton Art Glass, Williamstown Pottery and the telephone company. Later in life she worked as a cook at the grade school in Williamstown.
Surviving Louise are her son, Carl Henry Eddy II and his wife, Mary of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; daughter, Gloria Trembly and her husband Dave of Parkersburg; 10 grandchildren, Michelle Cordle, Shawn Eddy, Amanda Eddy, Cheryl Grate, Karen Gorter, Geoff Freeman, Becky Gant, Lisa Yeater, Joe Trembly, Shane Trembly; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Carl H. Eddy; one granddaughter, Kimberly Eddy; and 11 brothers and sisters.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Burial will be at the Riverview Cemetery in Williamstown. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday prior to the service.
