Earl Eugene Keiffer, 62, of Belpre, died Tuesday (Aug. 13, 2013) at his home. He was born April 15, 1951 in Clintonville, W.Va., son of Oliver and Juanita Shortridge Hayden.
He had been a truck driver for several years. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a member of the American Legion Post #389 in Beverly and a lifetime member of the VFW #5108 in Marietta.
He is survived by a daughter, Erin Hill and husband Jack of Belpre and a son, Steve Hicks and wife Melissa of Rupert, W.Va.; his mother, Juanita Hayden of Beverly; seven grandchildren, Jessica Blaker and Magie Blaker of Belpre, Robin Fields, Michael Hicks and Eric Hicks of Rupert, W.Va., Zack Hill of Zanesville and Trae Hill of Belpre; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Roland Hayden; three sisters, Lorena Gilmer, Charlotte Barany and Kathleen Kidder. He was preceded in death by his father, a sister, Gayle Rainer and a brother, Larry Keiffer.
Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Friday at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with Pastor Robert Tuttle officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. on Friday. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.mccurdyfh.com.
