Devola Community Day enjoys lots of support

August 15, 2013
The Marietta Times

On July 27 the third annual Devola Community Day was in full swing. We would like to thank everyone who attended our event and enjoyed the music, games, food and fun. We couldn't have put on such a wonderful day without the help of numerous volunteers as well as several local businesses that made this fundraiser a success. We would like to thank the Washington County Sheriff's Department, Sweetapple Farm, the Devola Volunteer Fire Department, the Bronze Studio, Snobiz, Stacey's Dance Studio, and High Schools That Rock for keeping our guests entertained. We would also like to thank several businesses who supported our event by donation or items for the Country Store: Putnam Church Preschool, Greenleaf Landscapes, Dough Boyz Pizza, Huck's Farm Market, Huck's Farms, Bar-B-Cutie, Fox's Pizza, Peoples Bank, Warren's IGA, Conn's, Par Mar Stores, The Gallery, Putnam Chocolates, Wark Accounting, Giant Eagle, Teri Ann's, Marietta Ignition, American Flags and Poles, Washington County Juvenile Center, Dairy Queen, Connie Grimes, Lynda Cremeans,Tampico Mexican Restaurant, Unique Flower and Gift Shop, Marietta College, Decorating Connection, Washington State Community College, House of Wines, Hammons Family Dentistry, the Hampton Inn, Microtel Inn & Suites and Vanessa Gutberlet with Pampered Chef. We would also like to thank everyone who donated items to our garage sale. The Devola Community Day is a fundraiser for the playground behind the Devola Pool. We raised $1,500 towards our playground project. We thank everyone in our community for their support and we look forward to enhancing our family friendly park and playground. If you would like to contribute to the Devola playground project, please use the fund established at the Marietta Community Foundation.
