Leona Sisson Cline, 89, of Waterford, formerly of Syracuse and Long Bottom, passed away peacefully, Friday (Aug. 16, 2013) at Muskingum Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation in Beverly. She was born April 2, 1924 in Chester, Ohio, daughter of the late Murl and Elizabeth Eislestein Taylor.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Sisson; a daughter, Carolyn Sue Koenig; her second husband, Russell Cline; a brother, Willard Taylor; two sisters, Lenora Davis and Hilda Hunt; stepchildren, John Cline, James Cline, David Cline, Richard Cline, Carol Cline, Mary Baumgardner and Grace Holsinger.
She is survived by her daughter, Lois Cline and husband Charles; stepchildren, Patricia Collins and Carl Cline; daughters-in-law, Margaret Cline, Genive Cline, Glorine Cline and Paula Cline; grandchildren, Leonard Koenig, Sheila Koenig, Charles (Nicole) Cline and Steve Cline; several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She attended the Waterford Church of the Nazarene.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with Pastor Karl Kesselring officiating. Burial will be in Sand Hill Cemetery in Long Bottom. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today.
