‘Joy’ Edith Francis Stollar

"Joy" Edith Francis Stollar, 61, of Gahanna, passed away on Thursday (Sept. 5, 2013) and is now dancing with Jesus!

Joy was born on April 17, 1952, in Lexington, Ky., to the late John and Doras Stewart. She grew up in Marietta where she graduated from high school and nursing college. Joy worked in nursing her entire adult life, where she specialized in pediatric disabilities. She was an avid reader, crocheted baby blankets for donation and loved being a foster mom.

Joy will be greatly missed by her loving family, sons, Stephen and Daniel; daughter, Lisa and granddaughter, Lydia Bree; sister-in-law Beth (sister in heart); nephew, Phil Stewart, niece, Kate Stewart; honorary and loved daughters, Katie and Erica. Joy was blessed with many, many friends, including Patty, Peggy, Rebecca and Marsha; her second family, Cynthia, Jazslyn, Christian and Jayden. She will also be missed by her beloved cats, Frosty and Stella.

Joy was preceded in death by her brothers, John and Jimmy Stewart.

The family will receive friends Wednesday (Sept. 11, 2013) from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Road (at Beecher Rd), Gahanna, Ohio.
