Reva Helen Kee Lampman, 80, peacefully passed away on Aug. 27, 2013. Our beloved Helen was born in Gandeeville, W.Va. to Sylvia and Orland Kee and a wonderful family of five sisters and two brothers.
As a young adult, Helen received her teaching degree from Ohio University, where she met her husband of 58 years, Kenneth Lampman. Together they became the proud parents of Rob (Catherine Pletchette), Laura (Steve Palazzo), and baby Leslie (already in Heaven), plus loving grandparents to Joe and Michael Palazzo. Helen was an avid reader and tennis player. She loved opera music, Jeopardy, and socializing with family and friends. Helen served as a substitute teacher in Chardon, Ohio for many years. Upon retirement, she volunteered for Mesa Public Schools and Sunshine Acres in the East Valley.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Robert and Lakin Kee; and sisters, Mary Ann Wallace, Nancy Perry, Evelyn Mae Kee. Surviving are sisters, Maxine McAtee, Elizabeth (Betty) Buell, and Catherine (Kitty) Mead.
Services for Helen will begin at 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 28, at the Pilgrim Christian Church, 202 S. Hambden St., Chardon, Ohio, 44024, with a luncheon to follow.
