Marietta High senior Katie Miller is hoping to play college soccer somewhere after she graduates.
Grade-point average: 4.37
Sports: soccer, swimming, tennis, track and field (freshman)
Parents: Mike and Kim Miller; one older sister Jamie Caparulo
Question: What are your expectations for your final season on the soccer pitch?
Answer: We've definitely been improving a lot since the beginning of the season. We obviously hope to be a lot better. The girls are so athletic and willing to work, so we're hoping to get some more wins in our favor, and hopefully go a little bit into the (postseason) tournament.
Q: What are some moments in your high school athletic career that stand out to you?
A: Honestly, it's no experience really on the (soccer) field. The camaraderie on our team, it's been so phenomenal. Again, I love my team.
Editor's note: Miller has had two hat tricks in her career, including one in a 5-3 season-opening 2013 win against Maysville at the Devola Soccer Complex.
Q: What do you do in the winter?
A: I swim. I'm not the best, but it's something to stay in shape in. It's so much fun.
Q: You say soccer is your main sport. Would you like to play it in college?
A: I'd love to. Currently, I'm looking at some D3 colleges. It's in the plan for the future, as long as everything goes well.
Q: Influences in your life?
A: Both of my parents, I love them so much. They're my best supporters. Dad is my coach, teacher and parent. He's always there for me, no matter what activity I do.
