The Beverly Eagles Ladies Auxiliary will be serving taco in a bowl at 5:30 p.m. Friday. The cost is $3 per bowl. For carry-out, call 984-4733.
Paddling/rowing tour from Lowell to Mtta.
The Muskingum River Paddling/Rowing Tour will be held Sunday. The event involves paddling/rowing from Lowell to Marietta. All participants should meet at Lock 3 in Lowell in time for a 10 a.m. departure. Any human powered vessels are welcome. The trip involves locking through at Lock 2 in Devola where there is a $5 charge. A personal flotation device should be worn by all participants. Participants can bring food and drinks but no alcohol.

Sheriff's captain speaker at Crime Watch meeting
The Harmar Hill Neighborhood Crime Watch group will hold its Neighborhood Crime Watch meeting at 7 p.m. Oct. 7 at the Lookout Park Community Building. The speaker will be Capt. Troy Hawkins from the Washington County Sheriff's Office. The meeting is open to the public.
Church will accept applications for Upward Basketball

Tunnel-Warren Relay team fundraiser at Wendy's in Belpre
The Tunnel-Warren Relay For Life team will hold a fundraiser from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday the Wendy's in Belpre. There will be a Wendy's Fund Wheel and homemade desserts available.

City will celebrate grand opening of river trail's 3rd phase
The City of Marietta will celebrate the grand opening of the third phase of the River Trail at 1 p.m. Friday. A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held on the trail near the corner of Fourth and Ohio streets.
