The handling of the City Hall roofing project is a very good example of how this city council has their hands off the wheel when running the city of Marietta. Rather than being responsible for selecting how city contracts are bid and for having the ultimate control of who the city contracts with, this council repeatedly shirks that responsibility by allowing the city safety-service director to run the show, without ever coming back to council for the important decisions such as who the city does business with. While it may be legal, it certainly isn't in the best interest of the taxpayers of Marietta. The fix is very simple, but they don't seem to get it. Time for a change. In speaking with John Grimm and Josh Schlicher, they both get it and deserve your vote.
