- The first edition of "The Beverly Elementary News," a monthly paper published by the sixth-grade class to report on school events, will soon go on sale. Editor-in-chief is Mark Vaas and managing editor is Nancy Young.

- J. B. Wilson, an employee of the Sterling Brick Works, was run down by the Beverly Express on the inter-urban line at Dana's Sugar Camp trestle. The son of Uriah Wilson of Beverly, the 40-year-old victim died as a result of severe injuries.
