Evelyn F. Kelby, 90, of Beverly, Ohio, died Friday (Nov. 8, 2013) at Muskingum Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation in Beverly. She was born Aug. 23, 1923, in Waterford Township, daughter of Henry Gustav Pabst and Amy Louise Hall Pabst.
She had been a secretary for United Dairy, Dravo Corp. and Interlake Steel Company. She graduated from Waterford High School and Columbus College. She was a member of the Waterford United Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary, Eastern Star, R.S.V.P. Crafters of Marietta, United Methodist Women's Club and Past Guardian of Job's Daughters Bethel #79 of McConnelsville. She was a loving mother and liked spending time with her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed crafting, sewing, crocheting and puzzles. She enjoyed traveling and made many trips with her husband and family.
She was married May 18, 1944, to Dean Edward Kelby who died June 19, 1988. She is survived by three children, Ronald Kelby and wife Dolores of Beverly, Deanna DaVault and husband Clifton of Mason, Ohio and Debora Holdren and husband Greg of Beverly; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two step grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; three sisters, Caro Robinson, Lena Pabst and Della Pabst; and one brother, Leo Pabst.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with Pastor Karl Kesselring officiating. Burial will be in the Beverly Cemetery.
