Wayne and Selma Worthington of 370 Laurel Ridge Road, Lowell, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Nov. 8. They were married Nov. 8, 1953, at the Lowell United Methodist Church by the late Rev. Donald Seyler. He is the son of the late Walter and Blanche Worthington and she is the daughter of the late Wesley and Iva Way.
The Worthingtons farmed in Lowell all their married life and are now retired. They have three sons: Walter (Debbie) Worthington of Marietta, Kevin (Beth) Worthington of Lowell and Nathan (Cindy) Worthington of Lowell. They have eight grandchildren: Staci (Paul) Ritchie of Marietta, Kristi (Matt) Starkey of Marietta, Darrin (Megan) Worthington of Arlington Heights, Ill., Rachel Worthington of Columbus, and Jennifer, Daniel, Ross and Ty Worthington, all of Lowell. One grandson, Adam, is deceased. They also have four great-grandchildren.
The Worthingtons celebrated their anniversary with family.
