John Hudspeth and Dave Young, off-duty firefighters, volunteered to hang holiday decorations on light posts in downtown Marietta. The firefighters use platforms on trucks to install them.

Workmen have been planting several Gingko trees in an area of newly-constructed sidewalk at the Citizens National Bank on Second Street.

J. W. Doudna, the undertaker, sustained a deep cut on his forehead and a badly bruised leg when an automobile driven by Mrs. Mary Mitchell collided with the buggy in which he was riding. The accident occurred in front of the police station at the corner of Front and Butler streets.
