Architects Joseph Baker and Don Gunnerson of Newark discussed plans for the proposed Marietta High School building at a Board of Education meeting. Board President Robert Hausser took an informal poll of board members regarding their preference for a brick, precast concrete, or concrete panel exterior.
100 years ago
A carrier pigeon with a band bearing the inscription "J. E. A. 1912," was caught by Willis Buckley, son of Jerry Buckley, of Front Street, in the barn at the rear of his home. It is believed that the bird traveled many miles to reach Marietta.
