Megan Leigh Pierce and Shawn Alan Hall were united in marriage on Dec. 21 at the First United Presbyterian Church of Mingo Junction, with the Rev. Dr. Bill N. Lawrence of Two Ridges Presbyterian Church officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Terri and Randal Pierce of Mingo Junction. The bridegroom is the son of Barbara and Alan Hall of Steubenville and nephew of Laura and Kent Hall of Marietta.
Grandparents Kay and James Turner of Brilliant and Betty Schmelzer of Delphos were in attendance.
The bride is a 2008 graduate of Indian Creek High School, and completed a B.S. in Human Ecology at the Ohio State University. She is completing an M.Ed. in Special Education and BCBA certification at Texas A & M University.
The bridegroom is a 2007 graduate of Indian Creek High School, and completed a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at The Ohio State University. He is employed by BP America in the High Performance Computing Department as a Systems Analyst.
The bride was escorted to the altar by her father. She wore a strapless tulle A-line gown with beaded appliques and carried a bouquet of white roses.
The maid of honor was Chelsie Pesta of Steubenville. Bridesmaids included Lindsay Ward of Wintersville, and Samantha Hall of Morgantown, cousin of the bridegroom.
The best man was Bradley Jeffries of Mingo Junction. Groomsmen included Mason Pierce of Mingo Junction, brother of the bride, and Matthew Hall of Marietta, cousin of the bridegroom. Ushers included Daniel Pierce and Randal Pierce of Mingo Junction, brothers of the bride.
The organist was Joseph G. Zamberlan of Two Ridges Presbyterian Church. The flower girl was EmmaRose McEndree, cousin of the bride. The ring bearer was Madalyn McEndree, cousin of the bride.
A rehearsal dinner hosted by the bridegroom's parents was held the night before the wedding at Zalenski's Eatery.
Following a reception at the Mingo Knights of Columbus, the couple honeymooned at Nemacolin Woodlands and Pittsburgh.
They currently reside in Houston, Texas.
