Sports: basketball and golf
Family: Alex and Lori Patton (father and mother); one older sister, Alexa
Question: What's your favorite sport?
Answer: It's hard to compare the two (golf and basketball), because they're so different. But I like the mental part of golf and the physical part of basketball.
Q: Do you think you might play either of these sports in college?
A: Not sure. I just want to keep my options open.
Q: What are your expectations, goals for your senior season at Warren?
A: In golf, I went further than I've ever gone had before.
In basketball, we'd like to do what we did last year, and get to state - but we're taking it one game at a time. This is a fun team to play with.
Q: What are a couple of your golf and basketball highlights at Warren?
A: In golf, I got to district, and in basketball, playing in the Final 4 in Columbus was a big thrill. Oh, and when (Evan) Yabs made that (game-winning) basket (putback) in the regional final (at the Ohio University Convocation Center) sending us to state, that was exciting.
Q: Who has impacted or influenced you the most during your sports career?
A: My grandpa (Yale Patton) and dad. They've both helped me on and off the court. I owe it to them for helping me develop my shot.
I don't think my parents have ever missed one of my games.
Q: Do you have any interests outside of basketball and golf.
A: I have a Nikon camera, and I really enjoy photography. I just like to go outside, and take pictures.
I also like to go fishing over at Veto Lake. That's also very relaxing.
