C. Glen Reese

C. Glen Reese, 82, of Sunbury, died Thursday morning (Jan.9, 2014) at St Ann's Hospital Palliative Care Unit in Westerville.

He was born on Oct. 7, 1931, in Marietta, to the late Glen and Mabel (Rumbold) Reese. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a retired heavy equipment operator working for Dodge Ireland Construction and also was self employed. He was a former member of the Sunbury Eagles and enjoyed their shrimp dinners.

Glen enjoyed camping and traveling with his wife and friends, having traveled or camped in 47 of the 50 states. Grandchildren and family were important to him and he always had a smile for his great-grandson, Connor.

He is survived by his son, Ken (Barb Bicsey) Reese of Sunbury; grandchildren, Kyle (Lauren) Reese of Westerville, Carrie Reese of Ft. Myers Beach, Fla.; great-grandson, Connor; and another great-grandchild on the way; brother, Gene (Chris) Hendrickson of Marietta; sister, Ruth Mollahan of Waterford.

He was preceded in death by his wife, L. Eileen (Spearman) Reese on Dec. 16, 1997; brother, Mike Hendrickson; and sister, Carol Reece.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, State Route 3 at 61, Sunbury. Interment with Military Honors was in the Trenton Cemetery.
