Question: You've scored double digits in your last two games (wins against Chesapeake and Meadowbrook). But most of the season, you've been providing an offensive spark coming off the bench. Would you prefer starting or coming off the pine?
Answer: It doesn't really matter, because I still get a lot of playing time. I'll do whatever it takes to help the team win. Coach (Mark Hannuksela) always tells us that it's not who starts but who finishes in a game.
Q: You strike me as an all-around player who can handle the ball on the court. Are you able to play any position?
A: My main position is mostly the post. And, I work a lot on my shooting with drills.
Q: What are your expectations, goals for your senior season at Marietta?
A: To just get better from last year and to help my teammates win basketball games. I love playing basketball, and that includes practices.
Q: Do you follow the NBA on TV?
A: Yes, I do. I like the Miami Heat, and Dwyane Wade is my favorite player. I like LeBron (James), too.
I don't follow the WNBA.
Q: What are some of your highlights that stand out during your career?
A: When I was a freshman, I dressed varsity, and we went to the regional. That was pretty exciting.
This season, I had a double-double (coming off the bench) against Morgan, and that was pretty thrilling, too.
Q: Who has impacted or influenced you the most during your basketball career at Marietta?
A: Probaby my Uncle Devin Alexander. He's always given me tips and helping me out. My mom's always been supportive, too.
Q: Do you have any interests off the court?
A: I don't really have any hobbies, but I like to hang out with my teammates and do volunteer work at the Gospel Mission food pantry at the Harmar Community Center.
