Larry Roger Williams, 73, passed away Wednesday (Jan. 22, 2014).
Roger was born in Gallia County, Ohio, on Jan. 2, 1941, to the late Clarence and Lillian (Shaw) Williams. Roger attended Barber College in Akron, Ohio, and opened Roger's Barber Shop in Coshocton, which he ran for 43 years. He was an active member of Grace United Methodist Church, a member of the Coshocton Elks, and Coshocton Masonic Lodge where he served as a past Masonic Master. Roger was an avid reader, enjoyed wood working, growing and tending to his roses, and genealogy.
On Jan. 25, 1961, he married Priscilla "Pam" Muhlbach, who survives. In addition to his wife, Roger is survived by one son, Timothy (Rhonda) Williams; two daughters, Cheryl (Ed) Jones, and Loretta (John) McDonnell; grandchildren, Kristina Jones, Victoria (Chad) LaChance, Allyson Williams, Brandon Byrd, Lillian McDonnell, Ava McDonnell, and Jack McDonnell; and brother Richard Williams.
In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Williams.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. today (Jan. 27, 2014) in the sanctuary of Grace United Methodist Church, 422 Walnut St., Coshocton, Ohio, with the Rev. Craig Redecker officiating. Graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. in Lower Salem Cemetery, Salem Township, Ohio. Calling hours were held Sunday (Jan. 26, 2014) from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Parlor of Grace United Methodist Church.
