Charles Sherlock, of High Street, reported a theft Wednesday of a Pioneer CD player and CDs.
Brian Worstell, 50, of 29725 State Route 7, Marietta, reported Wednesday that sometime overnight an unknown suspect(s) shattered the windshield of his Dodge pickup truck and shot the passenger side and rear windows with paint balls.
Jacob F. Welch, 22, of 140 Beebe Road, Waterford, reported Wednesday that he was the victim of a fraudulent check scam. Welch received a check for $1,976 from an individual who contacted him online. The person instructed Welch to deposit the check at his bank and to wire $1,200 to another person in California while keeping the remaining funds. After wiring the funds Welch learned the check he deposited was fraudulent and that his account was now overdrawn by more than $1,000.
Beverly Carpenter, 57, of 8155 State Route 26, Marietta, reported Thursday that her adult son did not return to his residence at the Washington County Home on Tuesday and she has not seen or heard from him for several days.

Tracey J. Pickenpaugh, 27, of 4559 N. State Route 669, McConnelsville, was arrested Wednesday for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor.
Angela M. Thompson, 35, of 604 Ferry St., Beverly, was arrested Wednesday for violating the terms of her probation, a felony.
Michael T. Johns, 26, of 8929 State Route 555, Cutler, was arrested Wednesday for unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, a felony.
Barbara A. Carver, 47, of 429 Strecker Lane, Marietta, was arrested Wednesday for theft, a felony.
Victoria S. Moss, 53, of 1009 Bear Run, Cairo, W.Va. was arrested Wednesday for three counts of felonious assault, for felony charges of attempted murder and failure to comply with the order/signal of an officer and for misdemeanor charges of OVI and reckless operation.
