Charlotte K. Johnson, 87, of Marietta, passed away at 12:25 a.m. Saturday (April 5, 2014) at Marietta Memorial Hospital in Marietta.
She was born Jan. 19, 1927, in Candler, North Carolina, the daughter of the late Cashius Penland and Sadie Kathleen Eplee. She was the housekeeping superviser at the Ramada Inn in Marietta and a member of the Marietta Seventh Day Adventist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Diana Lynn (Frank) Ferguson of Seymour, Tenn., and Jerilyn (Dave) Tuten of Marietta; one son, Bruce (Leslie) Johnson of Coolville; five grandchildren, Patrick Johnson, Amanda Sawyer, Bryan Tuten, Bethany Tuten, and Paige Tuten; two stepgrandchildren, Jeremy Pierce and Amber Ridenhour; two great-grandchildren, Molly and Lucas; one stepgreat-grandchild, Preston; also 11 siblings.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph B. Johnson, who died Nov. 22, 1999; a son, Randy Johnson.
Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday (April 8, 2014) with Pastor Victor Marshall officiating. She will be laid to rest in McConnelsville Cemetery.
