Officers checked on a Washington Square adult female Tuesday that was threatening to kill herself. The woman was taken to Marietta Memorial Hospital for a mental evaluation.
A deputy arrested Wendy R. Sudnik, 37, of 1001 Greene St. Apt. B, Marietta, for domestic violence on Sunday. Sudnik was visiting her sister at 95 Sandhill Road, Marietta, when she angrily confronted her mother, Marta K. Henrie, 55, of 550 Rummer Road, Marietta. During the confrontation, Sudnik grabbed and twisted Henrie's right arm, which she recently broke and was in a cast from her wrist to her shoulder. Henrie stated. Sudnik's actions caused her great pain and that she feared for her safety.
The principal of Frontier High School reported Monday that a 14-year-old student urinated in a classroom trash can during one of his classes on Friday. The New Matamoras resident's teacher denied the teenager's repeated requests to use the restroom because the student routinely uses the excuse to roam the school's hallways for extended periods of time. In addition to being given a five day suspension, the teenager will be summonsed to Juvenile Court for being delinquent.
Jonathan H. Carpenter, 25, of 813 Congress Road, Belpre, reported Tuesday that sometime overnight an unknown suspect(s) entered his unlocked vehicle and stole a GPS unit, a .380 handgun and several CDs. The stolen property has an approximate value of $560.
The caretaker for the residence of Jack Briesemeister, 46, at 2080 Wynncrest Drive, Marietta, reported Tuesday he recently discovered a shotgun and a handgun were missing from the home.
Ralph Anderson, 68, of 4454 Buchanan Road, Waterford, reported Tuesday at some point since last November an unknown suspect(s) stole a .45 handgun from his residence.
