A suit for $3,908 damages against Union Carbide and Marietta Industrial Enterprises, Moore's Junction, has been filed by the Henderson Oil Company. The oil company claims that its right of way from Ohio 7 to the Ohio River has been obstructed by the defendants so that it cannot get equipment to Hutchinson's Island where it has oil wells.

A patrol car broke all speed limits traveling through downtown Marietta on the way to arrest two men for using offensive language at the street car waiting room on Greene Street. This call was for an ordinary arrest, and there is no excuse for such reckless driving that endangers the public.
