William W. Oliver, 75, of Marietta, passed away at 9:45 p.m. May 30, 2014, at his home.
He was born Sept. 20, 1938, in Stanleyville, Ohio, a son of Woodrow Oliver and Mary Holiday Guckert.
He owned and operated Bill's General Auto and was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War.
Bill is survived by his sister, Robbi (Rik) Jones of South Carolina; lifelong companion, Norma Fouss; cousin, Delores Needs; and friends, Merle and Tracy Hall and their children Hanna and Aleigha and his caregivers.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home, Marietta, with burial following in Valley Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
