Mr. James Howard Zimmerman, 69, of Marietta, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
He was born on Aug. 3, 1944, in Warner, Ohio, a son of the late Howard Edgar and Elsie Kay Baker Zimmerman.
He worked as an equipment operator for Marietta Industrial Enterprises, also a member of the Stafford Masonic Lodge #300 and the Lowell American Legion Post #750.
He is survived by his wife, Janet K. Rohrbough Zimmerman, of the home; children and their spouses, Mike and Shelley Zimmerman, Becki and Brian Wallace, Jason and Traci Zimmerman, and Christopher and Elizabeth Zimmerman; sister, Donna Zimmerman Martin; brother and sister-in-law, George and Judy Zimmerman; sister-in-law, Jean Zimmerman; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Faye Irene Zimmerman, Carolyne May Zimmerman, Judy Ann Zimmerman, Ruth Barlock and Delbert Zimmerman; brother-in-law, Floyd Martin; and grandson, Zachary Howard Zimmerman.
At Mr. Zimmerman's request, there will be no public viewing. Graveside services will be held at the Tunnell Cemetery in Fleming, Ohio, where rites will be accorded by the Stafford Masonic #300 A.F. & A.M.
