An officer investigated a breaking and entering Tuesday at Wayne's World Computers, at 185 Front St., that happened sometime since Sunday. Taken were a laptop computer and two desk top computers valued at $1,180.
Mark Hart, 23, of 434 Douglas Ave., was arrested Tuesday in the 700 block of Third Street for domestic violence. Hart had gone to 827 Ridge St. where he slapped his ex-wife in the face and stated that she deserved it.
An officer investigated a breaking and entering Tuesday of a storage unit at 1109 Gilman St. where a Lincoln welder, a tool box, a footstool, and an air nailer were stolen.
Rose M. Murray, 54, of 4805 Zion Ridge Road, Marietta, reported Monday that an acquaintance stole a set of four tires and rims from her property. Confronted by Murray, the suspect, Stephen S. Lipscomb, 36, of 166 State Route 339, Belpre, admitted stealing the tires from Murray's property that afternoon. Lipscomb claimed he was going to return the tires to Murray but failed to do so in a timely manner. Lipscomb will be summonsed for theft.
Katie M. McMasters, 25, of 215 Belavista Drive, Marietta, reported Tuesday that while she was away that afternoon, an unknown suspect(s) entered her home and stole 11 of her prescription weight loss pills.
An employee of Dollar General, at 10282 State Route 550, Vincent, reported Tuesday that a customer attempted to leave the store without paying for packages of paper plates and plastic silverware. The employee followed the suspect, Samantha F. Cox, 25, of 8905 Township Road 57, Roseville, through the store and saw her place the items in a diaper bag. Cox then paid for several items and attempted to leave the store before she was confronted about the stolen items. Cox will be summonsed for theft.

Angie S. Riley, 49, of 188 Main St. Lot 2, Lowell, was arrested Tuesday for criminal damaging, domestic violence and unlawful restraint, all misdemeanors.
Mark A. Hart, 23, of 434 Douglas Ave., was arrested Tuesday for domestic violence, a misdemeanor.
Robert P. Tate Jr., 34, of 109 Pine Drive, Little Hocking, was arrested Tuesday for tampering with records, a felony.
Tytus L. Shields, 25, of Marietta, was arrested Wednesday for engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, identity theft, tampering with drugs, two counts of forgery, four counts of possession of drugs and six counts of trafficking in drugs, all felonies.
