Richard W. McNabb, 83, of Waterford, Ohio, died June 28, 2014, at his home.
He was born Sept. 26, 1930, in Coal Run, Ohio, son of Bert and Anna Stengel McNabb.
He retired from AEP Ohio Power Company, Muskingum River Plant, in 1990. He graduated from Lowell High School in 1948 and served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Beverly and American Legion Post 750 in Lowell. He was married Jan. 5, 1957, to Marie Biedenbach McNabb who survives.
He is also survived by a son, Wayne McNabb of Waterford; a daughter, Diana McNabb Wright of Fleming; six grandchildren, Dylan, Kayla and Alyssa McNabb and Valerie Wright, Holly (Alexander) Kobe and Keith Wright; and two great-grandchildren, Lily and Miles Kobe.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Clifford, Philip "Dutch" and Robert McNabb.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Beverly, with Monsignor Robert Kawa officiating. Burial will be St. Bernard Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with a Rosary service to be held at 8 p.m.
