Terry G. Morgenstern, 65, passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday, July 12, 2014.
He was the son of Roy and Fern Morgenstern, who preceded him in death. Terry was a 1967 graduate of Marietta High School. He had been employed at Maloney's IGA in Lowell and also with Marietta Silo Company. He enlisted in the U. S. Army in 1969 and retired in May of 1989. He worked at Domino's Pizza for 21 years. He was very active in the Sunday and Wednesday night bowling leagues at Emerson Lanes in Parkersburg and was an avid deer and turkey hunter and enjoyed fishing.
Terry is survived by his children, Eric (Chrissy) Morgenstern of Roseburg, Ore., Stephen (Teri) Morgenstern of Cocoa, Fla., Felicia (Nathan) Javins of Fort Bragg, N.C. and Montonya (Mark) Morgenstern of Wallkill, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters, Linda Sayres of Marietta, Sandra Bentley of Hilliard, Ohio, and Connie (Bill) Weber of Canton, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Morgenstern (Bill Saunders) of Bellaire, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Morgenstern, and brother-in-law, Earl Sayres.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home, with Roger Rush officiating. Burial will be in Salem Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. today.
