Brittany M. Martin, 28, of 100A Linwood Ave., was arrested Monday at Pennsylvania and Linwood avenues on a Marietta Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court.
Ronald D. Welch Jr., 44, of 122 Harmar St., was arrested Tuesday in the 200 block of Butler Street for disorderly conduct by intoxication and a Marietta Municipal Court warrant for disorderly conduct by intoxication.
Levi C. Flowers, 21, of 708 Ninth St., was arrested Tuesday on a Marietta Municipal Court warrant for criminal damaging. Flowers was released after posting $1,500 bond.
An employee of Shadix TV, at 203 Montgomery St., reported a break-in Tuesday that happened overnight where cash was taken from the cash register.
Donna English, of Virginia Street, reported Wednesday that her 12-year-old granddaughter had taken her car without her knowledge. The 12-year-old female was found driving the car on Ohio 7 near Belpre by the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Charges of unruly and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle will be filed with the Washington County Juvenile Court.
Casey T. Carpenter, 18, of 186 Main St. Apt. 9, Lowell, was arrested July 16 for underage consumption of alcohol and for disorderly conduct by intoxication. Found passed out laying in the middle of Highland Ridge Road near milepost 2.5 at 3:30 a.m., Carpenter had a strong odor of alcohol, slurred speech and was unsteady on his feet. Carpenter had no idea where he was. At the Washington County Jail, Carpenter tested .135 percent blood alcohol content.
The Fearing Fire Department transported a 44-year-old Whipple resident to Marietta Memorial Hospital Friday for treatment following a suicide attempt. The victim ingested poisonous amounts of Tylenol and buspirone pills. The victim was released from the hospital two days later.
Deputies and detectives responded Friday to the scene of death of a 37-year-old Warren Township resident. The body was transported to Montgomery County for post-mortem examination. Though no foul play is suspected, this case remains under investigation.
A deputy requested a summons Friday for a 13-year-old Belpre resident to appear in Juvenile Court on a charge of delinquency by domestic violence. While visiting family on Ohio 555, the teenager became involved in an argument with his 7-year-old brother and struck him in the head with his fist. The teenager's mother said her younger son was not injured, but she wanted the teenager charged because his aggressive behavior is getting worse as he ages.
Eileen M. Haas, 65, of 150 Walnut Drive, Whipple, reported Friday that she recently discovered an unknown suspect used her credit card information to purchase $81.70 in children's clothing on the Internet.
A deputy requested a warrant Saturday for Everette L. Crites, 37, of 704 1/2 Mitchell Ave., Belpre, for violating the terms of a protection order. The previous day, Crites had four pizzas delivered to his estranged wife's home and drove by her residence as the pizzas arrived. Crites also phoned his wife and left two voice mails in violation of a protection order she has against him.
Eric Fowler, 38, of 208 Alden Ave., Marietta, reported Saturday that he was assaulted by his estranged wife, Amanda M. Montano, 33, of Marietta. While exchanging custody of their child at Fowler's residence, Montano found a note in Fowler's vehicle and flew into a fit of rage. Montano initially slapped Fowler and then punched him in the face while holding a set of keys. She then slapped him in the face several more times. Viewing Fowler's injuries, a deputy arrested Montano for domestic violence.
Deputies responded Saturday to the scene of death of a 56-year-old Center Point, Ind. resident. The victim was found deceased at Leith Run Campground on Ohio 7 in Newport. No foul play is suspected.
A 61-year-old Marietta resident reported Saturday she has not heard from her 42-year-old son for several days. A deputy made contact with the woman's son in Marietta, at which time he informed the deputy that he did not feel like being around his family.
Deputies responded Sunday to an altercation at the residence of Tanya Gibbs, 36, at 122 Tennis Center Drive Apt. 41, Marietta. Gibbs and her boyfriend of two months were arguing over another woman and she asked him to leave her apartment. While he packed some belongings, Gibbs' boyfriend kicked her in the back. Gibbs retaliated by striking her boyfriend with a belt. Neither party desired to pursue charges against the other.
Lynelle Goheen, 45, of 5270 Patten Mills Road, Stockport, reported Sunday that her live-in boyfriend, Randall Harlow, 49, became angry when he awoke because he could not find any marijuana to smoke. At one point during his tirade, Harlow threatened to put Goheen in their home's cistern. Goheen said her boyfriend's comment caused her to fear for her safety because she cannot swim. Harlow was arrested for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail.
Lorne J. Miller, 42, of 3780 Baker Road, Albany, reported Sunday that an unknown suspect(s) cut the lock off his storage unit at 21 Clifton Road, Belpre, and stole a number of items. Among the stolen property are acetylene torches, a MIG welder, military and miscellaneous clothing, a reciprocating saw, a Playstation and two games. The total value of the stolen items is approximately $2,500.
Cole M. Dutton, 22, of 990 Laurel Ridge Road, Lowell, reported Sunday that at some point during the past two weeks an unknown suspect(s) entered vacant homes he owns at 3705 and 4000 Cats Creek Road, Macksburg. Stolen from the homes were an antique lard press, antique milk cans, a wood gun cabinet and a barn pulley system.
Steven S. Pierce, 25, of 3915 State Route 676, Stockport, was arrested Monday for intimidation. The previous day Pierce drove to an acquaintance's residence and threatened her. The acquaintance is the live-in girlfriend of a friend of Pierce, who was arrested for domestic violence. A deputy determined Pierce brandished a firearm and stated to the victim if she did not go to court and get the charges against his friend dropped, she would regret it.
Brent McKinney, 40, of 26935 State Route 7 Apt. 3B, Marietta, reported Monday that he departed his residence at 6 p.m. the previous day and when he returned after midnight he discovered four of his prescription medications and more than $300 were missing from his kitchen.
Leslie Pritchard, 60, of 5523 Second St., Vienna, reported Monday that sometime between July 3 and July 11, his Economy brand vehicle trailer was stolen from the lot at 18192 State Route 7, Marietta.
A relative of Dorothy Way, 86, of 19 Garden City Road, Marietta, reported Monday she believes Way is being scammed. Way receives phone calls from a man purporting to be an FBI agent and has been promised $5.5 million and two cars over the course of several years. The suspect sends funds to Way via Western Union and instructs her to forward the money to another individual, sometimes in foreign countries, at her own expense.
