"Union fat-cats...myth or reality?"

So...you think labor unions are run by cigar chomping "Union Fat Cats", who receive outrageous salaries and benefits, while living a life of luxury comparable to Saudi Arabian Princes, lording their unrestrained power over the entire United States of America... all on the backs of the union-enslaved workers they represent. Here's your chance to prove it.

America is a Republic, not a "democracy". Ohio is a Republic, not a "democracy".

Who will get today's prize for S.S. in the comments section? Solipsistic Soliloquy is raised (or lowered as the case may be) to a new art form. The Totalitarian Freuds will label all dissenters "silly little man", in deference to their chic and sophisticated laureate, O. Wilde Child. The leftist echo chamber effect helps them focus, which is tough for people who suffer Marxist Mental Myopia.

Unions have had a good effect on this nations work force but they also come with a whole list of negatives.

Inflexibility of the workforce.

Strikes that turn violent. Seen that stuff first hand.

Self serving union bigwigs whose business is increasing the amount of workers under the union umbrella so that more money can be brought in for Union "use".

Just to name a few.

I wonder when the plutocrats in this country will realize that the non one percenters who make up the vast majority of this nation are the most important part of this nation's economic engine?

The less the majority can purchase the worse off our economy will be.

"When employers in this country say labor costs are too high, what they're really saying to you is, you have it too good. What they're really saying to you is, all you need is enough to get you into the plant and work."

Yep this. I don't carry any doubts that what people are required to be paid minimally wouldn't be paid if companies weren't forced to pay a worker the minimum amount.

BobBarker...i have read the account of the crucifixion in the bible several times and i don't believe that is the reason why they killed Jesus. perhaps you may wish to quote someone with some sense about themselves.

scrappile: I dont understand your point, nor your referance to "paste".

GOP state lawmakers: reject the union or your tax breaks and incentives go away....not intimidating.... Federal rep: voting for unionization will cause company to not build SUV's in Chattanooga....not intimidating... More paste sir?

scrappile

Again VW wants the union, find the information from the company itself, and Bob, Rikki don't like cookies, he prefers paste....

Bottom line: Your brothers and sisters will make less, thanks to the predominance of your attitude.

Congratulations.

The irony is, that someone who presumably is a working person, would be crowing about a corporation "Chop(ing) Labor Costs in U.S."

Sorry about multi post, trying new device, so if you vote union the state will stop tax breaks, if you vote union , the rethuglican senator will use his powers and the ones that back him to stop production of a SUV, all that and still UAW only needed about 50 votes to organize, so there will more than likely be another vote, but what gets me is VW wanted union organization.....tell me again how Rikki, Bob, Dave and Charlie are pro american worker, eat more paste rikki
