"Union fat-cats...myth or reality?"

So...you think labor unions are run by cigar chomping "Union Fat Cats", who receive outrageous salaries and benefits, while living a life of luxury comparable to Saudi Arabian Princes, lording their unrestrained power over the entire United States of America... all on the backs of the union-enslaved workers they represent. Here's your chance to prove it.

Absolem once again you are spot on, unions have become corporations in thier own right, buying and selling people and political influence

OWO...you need to keep up with what your unions are and not what noble entity you think they are.

Both of you are living in the past and seem to think unions do is strike !And again learn the terminology , goons are the people companies hire to try and intimidate unions ! Of course a "steward" would have known that !

*salesmen..oops salespersons. my mind and spelling is disconnected. ok no "jeopardy" game for me tonight.

Stillhere.....in their infinite wisdom, the unions have allowed themselves to be replaced by the government agencies and regulatrions that they helped fund. it is their own self-funded undoing. the antics and intimidation undermines their rehtoric and slick sales schtick. unionized snake-oil slaesmen united....how low will they go?

The goons they send to big rallies, well big for them, don't exactly instill a feeling of intellect, surely they can find better PR people

It's really not that complicated, if they are to survive they had better quit stealing from members to buy power for themselves and advance a socialist big govt nanny state

You're absolutely right absolem, if they would represent the worker and support free association perhaps people would be more inclined to join them

Just cant accept your lie and move on , so I'll remind you whenever I can !

And you all would have never had the rights and benefits you enjoyed in your working careers ! How soon you forget why we have unions in the first place ! But I guess you ignorant ones want to have to learn those hard lessons again ! So very sad the short sightedness of some !The problem is , your particular type of relearning costs people their lives ! Good call ! (sarcasm)

If you had a clue or moral fiber you would fess up and act like a man ! And ultimately it really comes down to this ! Deflect all you want but the tiredbrain troll is a proven LIAR !!Whether stewards are appointed or elected has nothing to do with the fact that the tiredbrain troll/stillher cited local 99 as its own and when informed that that local was in Canada desperately tried to switch to local 1726 in New England ! So the lie was complete and ever since the troll has been deflecting because it was caught in its lie ! Sad, sad little troll !

i agree with you. they have done little to advance their cause without the strong-arm and terroristic actions along with their politically purchased influence. people are waking up to life beyond the propaganda from all sides. there is so much knwledge and information at our fingertips that everyone should take the time to look before leaping but at the same time be honest enough with self to understand that being wrong sometimes means that you are right sometimes.

As a matter of fact they are at the lowest point since the Great Depression at 11.3%. Perhaps it's time for them to change thier ways?

Posted 84 days ago.

Stillhere

Well Absolem despite the tactics or perhaps because of them, unions continue thier slide into oblivion, if not for public sector unions, they would be nearly extinct now.

hostility...thuggish behavior....intimidation...of such a benevolent and forthright organization....surely you jest. i noticed the NLRB has shortened the time for elections in order to help the unions odds along with the unsavory requirement that employers provide private information regarding emplyee names and addresses. i really want the union privy to that iformation.....

I never felt the IAM represented me or my crews values and they sure didn't support the politicians that we did, so what are we to do? Quit or have our dues support an agenda that we felt was harmful to our liberties

What is wrong with a union member opting out of the Union if he feels it no longer represents him or her without quitting thier job?
